Like the title says I am installing a AVIC-f90BT in my friends 05 F150 today after work. I have already done a lot of research and figured most of it out (huge thanks to you guys!). But there are some wires on the Pioneer harnesses and the Scosche harness that I don't know what to do with. His truck system is very basic. No factory subs, no steering wheel controls, I'm pretty sure it is the base radio setup. Here are the pics of the wires and my notes and questions. I hope someone can help today? :D please?

Harnesses laid out with the "extras" sticking out.

The antenna control wire is for a power antenna, which the truck probably doesn't have. The system remote control is used to turn on amps, which you may or may not be using. If you aren't using them, personally, I'd just tape them up to make sure they don't accidently short to ground.

Thank you. That's what I was thinking I was going to do with those two wires, now I'm sure I will. Any idea what the other wires are for? The orange w/blk stripe I figure I'll ground because it says it's a ground. But the others, I really don't know about. And why are there so many mutes?

do not ground the orange/black wire, just tape up or pull out all the wires that you are not using.

Is this the same 1loudls as on the LVC forums? I recognize the name. I'm in the LS forum too :D. Anyways, do you know why I wouldn't ground the orange/blk stripe? Is that going to affect the dimming of the screen? Cuz the other orange wire connects to the dimmer, and the orange/blk stripe says dimmer ground....One would think that needs to be grounded.....but then again, I am asking for help cuz I don't know :D

yes that is me, i though your name sounded familier, its not a ground wire, most harness call it the negitive dimmer wire, most cars use a positive dimmer (the + voltage vary's to control how bright the dash lights are) a few cars use a negitive dimmer (the resistance to groung will vary) if you ground this wire, the dash light might stay as bright as possible at night OR stay as dim as possible. the aftermarket radios usually just use a illumination signal to dim the screen a little
