Hi just purchased an avic d3 off ebay to put in my 05 mustang which has the shaker 1000 system now which has two ten inch subs in the trunk. i have a few questions.

1) will i be able to hook up the subs fine in my car?

2) i purchased it out of an 06 f150 king ranch so will i need a new wiring harness or dash kit for my 05 mustang?

3) I got a backup camera for the lincense plate. is that hard to hook up?

4) does any1 wanna trade the xm radio pioneer hookup thing for the bluetooth hookup?

thanks will be getting it sometime next week. Friends gonna help me hook it up hopefully it doesnt take too long.

There are several posts on the mustang here. Did you try the Searc feature?

If it were me, I'd keep the XM as the Sirius unit doesnt work as good as the XM unit (both work but the XM module works better when it comes to displaying information about songs, channels, etc.). The Bluetooth module can be found on E-Bay brand new for 89.00 w/free shipping (that's how I got mine). I think the kit and harness will be different (although the factory radios will swap). I got the kit and harness off E-Bay for 19.00. You will also need to go get a 12V to 5V converter from Radio Shack for the Factory Mustang amps, if you do not use the converter you amps will make a "pop" sound when you turn on the radio. Join MustangForums.com, do a search for AVIC D3 and there will be 2 great posts on hooking these units up in a Mustang.

In case your wondering I have an 06 w/Shaker 500 and did this install over the 4th of July weekend.
