I have the F-500bt hardwired to my car, and once the ipod is connected I can only hear audio from the unit itself but not from the car speakers. Any ideas?

Did you go into the audio settings and change the output to pre-amp or both?

Yes I did so already but still i get nothing which is really strange since I connected everything.

how is it connected? i.e. regular ipod cable or one with the RCA connections and USB ? Have to have one with the RCA's and connect them to AV1 connections out the back of the unit

Its connected with just the regular pioneer ipod cable, and the unit is all weird to the cars speakers but still nothing and I changed the output to preout.

Any ideas anyone? I'm at a dead end, absolutely no sound from the speakers.

Could it be a wiring issue possibly? No sound at all comes through the speakers when I change the output to preout
