I have an AVIC F700BT which was installed professionally in my '08 FJ Cruiser in February of this year. Is there an efficient way to clear the POI's from the MAP screen without having to go through each category separately and do each one individually?

 

For example, I selected a restaurant POI for let's say, Chinese Food, and every restaurant POI showed up on the map screen, and I had to go into each type of restaurant subgroup, ie., Korean, Mexican, etc. to select 'off' for each of those POI's...

 

There has got to be a better way!

There's a "same visibility for sub-groups" setting when you manage POI visibility. So if you have that set to on and turn restaurant visibility on, all sub-groups (Mexican, Chinese, etc) will show as well.

 

Edit the restaurants POI settings, set "same visibility" to on, visible to off, and they should all disappear.
