Ok Im all confused again..I Pre-ordered the 3.0 from Pionner for $60 and now theres this 2.0006 update out. Whats the difference and since i bought the 3.0 should I even upload the 2.0006?????

I'm not going to bother with 2.006, and just going to wait for 3.0 to ship. The changes on 2.006 are far and few between.

After running the 2.0006 for the last 48 hours:

1. Automated GPS timezone fix is still not working

2. XM lables are nice, but not worth the time it takes to update

Stick with your modded 2.0 until 3.0 is released.

I agree the Automated GPS timezone is still an issue for me. But I thought it was fairly easy to get the mods back on after 2.0006. Since we don't know when 3.0 will be out I went the 2.0006 route.

Drh, just to be clear. The 3.0 update will inclusively have all previous updates so you do NOT need to upgrade to 2.0006 prior to upgrading to 3.0 if that was your concern.

If I do the firmware update will I have to remod the key beep delete I currently have on my 2.0?

No, the key beep file are not included in the firmware update. The 3.0 sounds are posted in the european 3.0 thread though.

Ok thanks to everyone who responded...im just goin wait for 3.0 ..sounds like the results of the 2.0006 aint worth the time to update.

Does this update affect the software bypass? Thanks in advance.

The update should cancel the software bypass. I am not going for the update as my maps are current (including the new construction) and I am not willing to give up the custom icons, custom map graphics, and on map route cancel and guidance mute.
