Hi All,

 

Have got UK version of Z2 called HD3 which I need to update the firmware on using download from US pioneer website.

It seems that this is possible to do as others from the UK have done this, however I am having a problem getting the Unit to read a burnt CD-R with the files on.

 

When I insert the CD-R it just says reading disc, followed by CD ROM inserted. It then just stays like that - doesn't start update.

 

Would appreciate some advice on what burning software people have used as have tried Nero, Vistas inbuilt burner and another I loaded off internet.

 

Do I just have to place the two files AVIC_Z1-HD1 and Basefile on to the disc?

 

I have tried using mode 1 ISO 9660 1 2 3 with and without joilet.

 

Thanks for any help as unit keep freezing on startup screen and driving me mad.

There's a couple of things to watch out for:

- use the correct update file (z2 version)

- preferably do not use windows to burn the CD, but another program like Nero f.i.

- Finalise the disc (no multisession)
