Hi Guys,

I have a Z1 upgraded with a Z3 harddrive. The bluetooth was working fine with my Blackberry Pearl 8130. I just got the motorola Rival and was trying to pair it to the bluetooth.

Navi detects the phone, put in PIN from phone, connecting... I get a message Connection Fail

Phone detects navi, put in PIN from the phone, connecting... I get the same message Connection Fail.

just wondering if anyone has other ideas to try... stupid verizon, I think the BT profiles might be messed up. I noticed that the Handset and the Hands Free profile settings seem to be linked. I changed one and it changes the other. Retarded.

I'm on verizon.

I changed the incoming security settings to custom. Turned off everything and set hands free to automatic.

For some reason I can't set headset to "never" it seems linked to hands free?

If I change hands free to automatic and go to headset profile and change it to never, and go back to check hands free. Hands free will be marked as never as well. Very strange. Is it supposed to be linked like this?

When I use service discovery, it says hands free profile and object push profile are available.

When I check "device info" I see

Type: Handsfree

Status: Connected

Security: Custom

the dang thing still doesn't connect even tho it says "connected". Phone icon is still Xed out on the screen.

I tried only leaving object push on and it still doesn't connect? Weirdness.

Ok this is idiotically frustrating. No resolution from Moto side. Verizon is useless as usual. Pioneer is no longer updating the z3's I think I'm getting a new phone or going back to my old one because this is absurd. Motorola keeps on blaming Pioneer for not updating the bluetooth to the latest standards. Honestly I think that's a ridiculous claim because the env3's work fine w/ the z3 and it's a brand new phone as well. New phones should always be backwards compatible. So tired of this...
