Can I flash the new CE image on my F500-BT?

As the subject says: is the ce image available with this 3.0 update compatible with the F500-BT?

I'm downloading the 2.006 update for both the F500 and the F900 right now. When they're done I'll compare the CE builds and see if they are the same. if they are then there's a 99% chance you can upgrade to the 3.0 CE build.

Nope, the CE builds are different between the two, so more than likely you won't be able to. Sorry

Thanks for checking. Guess I'll have to wait for the CNSD-150FM which should include it.

Given that multiple other Pioneer devices have a free update for win CE and system files to 3.0, as a F500BT owner I don't agree to buy a system+map update bundle. I do understand that technically the igo 8.3 requires new map files, but I want to continue using the existing 8.0 version with an improved system response, which is enabled by the CE+APL update.

I will wait for someone to share their system update SD card files.
