Hey everyone, just let me start by saying this is an awesome community!! Just wish the quality of the F Series came close to it lol. My F700 doesn't want to boot up, since last week out the nowhere it would just light up and then shut off after a few seconds. No Splash screen/boot up screen at all. I have tried (to my knowledge) everything; reset, hard reset, tried to bring up the test mode, but that won't even work. I'm all out of ideas, and think that it needs to go to Pioneer. Thing is, I bought it from Amazon and just found out from their customer service that Amazon isn't an authorized dealer in terms of car products (go figure).
Has anyone else here had to send it in out of warranty? Just wanted some feedback as to how it went and how much they generally charged, was told that I would be charged a $70 "evaluation fee" and then some (if needed) for the actual repair! I am so pissed that I spend so much for the radio and to get it installed and not even 4 months later, I have to pay to get it repaired.
