I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, because I had drl I had to do some trick so I can manually turn off my lights. Now I had the D3 install in my car, but the night mode on the navigation dosent work automatically or manually.

Can anyone tell me how to locate that wire and where to put it so that function will work?

If by night mode you mean the switching of colors on the map screen(changing from white and green to black) thats built into the unit and has nothing to do with wiring. If you mean dimming the backlight all you have to do is connect the illumination wires on the harness you used. If there is no illumination wire on your harness then just run a wire from the illumination wire on the HU to the parking lights. Then every time the lights are turned on your screen will dim.

yeah i did mean switching colors on the map. If that has nothing to do with that wire, then do you have an idea why that might not work? And my backlight doesnt dim at night either. How do u know which one is the illumination wire? And what do u do with it and the harness?
