So is there an update including maps for europe? Has it been done for US? Can it be done at all?
For the US it's been done (3.0 that is, not sure about 3.01) and is not difficult. I'm not aware of an EU conversion yet, but that would probably just require a dump of the AVIC drive contents and torrenting it.

I ran into a problem with my 3.0 update. My system rebots itself.
Are we sure this works to 3.01? I rather just try the 3.01 now since I have to redo the 3.0 any how.
I'm using a F90BT in California.
Umm.. there is no way this is going to work. The X-Series 3.0101 update is an update on top of 3.0. Even if you somehow got the files from this update onto your F-series, it still would be missing the map and license files, the new system sounds, etc. You have to put a full 3.0 install on the unit in order to run this update.

This is NOT an all inclusive update to 3.01. It is just a package to step from 3.004 to 3.01. You cannot go from 2.x to 3.01 using just this package.

But so basically, all i have to do is install the 3.0 which has been published all over this forum recently, and then install this 3.01 update then right?
And also, sorry to ask the same question i already asked in my previous post, but even though these updates are not australian, can i still put my australian maps on it?

Tried this... it has my system rebooting itself every 5 minutes now. I think there was something wrong with my 3.0 though because I was missing the navi settings and system settings.
I just did this update after doing my 3.0 update.. working fine.

can anybody tell me what the last feature do? how does it "improve reliability of ipod search"? Whats there to searching other than scrolling up and down? Just curious..thanks.
3.0 was working great, I did that yesterday. Today I installed 3.01... Seemed pretty easy, But the problem I'm getting now is it will turn on, but just have that message "System Start up in progress, please wait" for about 5 minutes, then it will turn off and reset, and keep doing it. Is there a way I can just go back to 3.0?

I doubt you can uninstall 3.01, but you should be able to just redo the 3.0 installation.
hey when i downloaded the 3.1 update on this page and i put it on my sd card,
i put it into my unit and it came up with the update screen and the background was all red, and it just said "incorrect software is on sd/usb"
anyone can help??
and yes this is straight after i installed 3.0
