ok ive got a avic z1 that ive had for a while. i had this same problem when i tried to install my subs and amp in my 05 impala, well i got rid of the impala and got a 01 tahoe and everything worked fine in it. so i just traded my tahoe in for a 01 monte carlo and im getting power to my amp both from the power cable and remote wire but i cant get any sound. now heres what im thinking, in the impala and the monte ive got to use a gmos 01 harness made by metra in order to retain my chime and onstar. i didnt have to use that in the tahoe and everything worked fine. so im thinking my problem has something to do with the harness that i have to use. anybody ever have this problem?
