hey everyone,

 

this may be perhaps the most NOOB question ever but i really need to ask this because im moving houses at the moment and my F900BT box along with the manual is in storage and for the time being ive been needing to just deal with this problem and its killing me!

 

as everybody know, when you push the volume knob UP, the map levels zoom in and shows the roads bigger of course, and obviously the more you push up, the more you zoom in yada yada yada you get me....

 

what im asking is, does anybody know what setting i need to adjust so that everytime i go to maps, it will start off showing the maps AT that zoom level, without needing me to always press the up button a few times? its a REAL BIG hassle when i go to the AV source section to change a song, then go back to map and it has zoomed out again and in the middle of driving i need to keep zooming in and judging if its okay.

You might want to make sure that the "smart zoom" is turned off. At one point, everytime I would go to my map, the zoom would default far away and it would be really low so I could see the sky. Once I turned that off it hasn't done it since. Hopfully it will fix it for you.
