I tried this unit in a local car audio place using an sd card full of vids and mp3s. The music worked fine but playing videos caused the unit to be unresponsive. Any ideas? Is this he case after firmware updates.

Check your video format types. SD cards on the f900 and F90 I believe are limited to certain types. Some AVI, and MPEG will play, some MP4 videos will play but resolution is small. That is what I have found so far. Videos to me play better on VCD and DVD using DIVX.

the 3.0 update i believe fixes the video issue when using the sd card.
