Boot Issue F90BT Not Listed Before I Dont Think

Here is my issue. I searched these forums and nothing describes what I am experiencing. 50% of the time my system will boot normally. I notice sometimes it will start to boot and will go real slow. The splash screen goes away in about 60 seconds and then nothing happens until I hit the menu button. Then I get the menu screen with "System booting please wait" and then after like 2 minutes it reboots itself asking me for my security password which I then type in and everything it fine but all my settings are reset. Why is this happening its really annoying. I actually keep a screw handy to poke the reset button when I see it happening. Anyone have any advice. I am sick of re-configuring this thing everyday. I do notice that everytime this happens I turned the car off with the map screen on if that makes any difference.

Also I got a iPhone 3gs and everything but the sound works. Does the Apple cable really fix this?

Thanks

What I would be checking for is this. Is the main power line wired to battery power? Always? This lead needs to have power on it all the time. And is the accessory lead/wire hooked up to power with the key on accessory and run. The accessory line should have power in both the accessory position AND in the on or Run position. Is the ground solid. A good electrical and mechanical ground. Just my first thoughts. Hope it leads to a solution.

It was professionally installed so I would have to assume the answer is yes.

Thanks

Your battery voltage may be going too low when you are cranking the car.
