The most annoying thing is that I frequently bump the bass & treble in my equalizer. But for any given source, it takes a handful of (laggy and sometimes ignored) button pushes to get to the customize equalizer page.

sorry for not really answering your ? but get the 3.0 update however you need to.. apples n oranges..

I agree, the 3.0 software update improves the response of the system dramatically in the EQ section as well as the fade section...
