Okay, I bought a 2004 Silverado with the steering wheel controls. Looking to swap my AVIC-D2 into it, and finally have to look at steering wheel control integration. (Old car didn't have 'em)

Now, I know the PAC SWI-PS is for Pioneer units with remote input. I'm having a difficult time understanding if my D2 unit can take the SWI-PS. Crutchfield recommends it with my setup... but Crutchfield is not always right.

I don't know if I can do this combination... can anyone verify it's possible?? I really appreciate in advance before I make a bad purchase decision.

Thank you!

Okay, I may have answered this myself. On page 7 of the owner's manual for the D2, there's a tiny hole on the picture and it says "WIRED REMOTE".... is this my place for the steering wheel control?? I sure hope so, I don't want to lose the functionality. I'd still like someone to verify that they have the setup working on a D2. I see a lot of D3 talk, but nothing that discussed the D2.
