Hey guys

I had the freezing update installed on my avic-z2 last year. I then installed the two wire bypass last week. Then i installed the recent gracenote update (june2009). Z2 worked perfect for about a week and now it occasionally jambs at the blue pioneer starup screen. Sometimes it boots very slow and then my music on the HDD starts skipping tracks. Sometimes the deck works perfect. Do I need to re install the freeze update? Please help!

It will not let you reinstall the freezing update once it is already installed. Your drive may be starting to fail. Keep an eye on it and see if it starts happening more frequently. You may also try upgrading to Z3 firmware/maps. See the sticky posts in the hack forum.
