Goof Lord, they finally shipped my "update" August 10, ordered July 1.

I like how it stated it shipped on aug 7th on the website, but just now received an email that it shipped yesterday the 10th. Another great example of the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I have a feeling pioneer is one segmented organization, no communication between any departments. Only the name ties them together.

 

Another great example is the tech support people not knowing about an update that it seems everyone else is aware of, or a welll known issue they deny exists.

 

Owell at least it states as shipped on an invoice emailed to me, so that is a new step. Let's just hope it works better then the x series frankenbuild we all made. It seems to work fine but some issues we were told were fixed were not with it. Things like ipod still not being the default, some other very minor annoyances.

 

If the update is worse then what we already put on, I may just leave it at the x series firmware. My guess is they will push updates for it more often and this may be the last one for f series. How else are they going to encourage buying new hardware from them?
