Hello,

I purchased a used avic d3 off of ebay. I installed it over the weekend and am having trouble with it. The following seems a little off:

1. It restarts on its own periodically

2. The nav says to insert the appropriate disc. The weird thing is that it will work sometimes. However, when it does work, I cannot push all the buttons under the destination tab. For example, I cannot click on address search.

I have read and searched for a few hours and am still a little unsure as to what is the problem? I am using a factory West navigation disc. I read about the reset with the controller, but am unsure if this is what will fix the problem. I tried pushing the eject button for thirty seconds, and no dice. Any suggestions?
