No sorry I have the UK version AVIC-F10BT so I dont have the mapping issues, I did speak to a Pioneer tech and he said that the Z110 will not aquire the europe satalites I had this with someone else on here who said they would but having had a N1 it didnt work even with the UK maps so I think there will be some dissapointed people out there in 441 land, my original question was to do with the DVD play back regions I have a lot of DVD's from the states and still cant belive that Pioneer regionalise the DVD's on their units

GD... Flag ship product doesn't mean - beats or equals all features on our competitors...

Anyway - where did you buy your AVIC-F10BT from and how much??

I paid $1700 in California and I will just get the F10BT and sell the Z110BT on ebay or something.. :-)

I have bought an Avic F10BT and will get it in about ten days time. I might be a little afraid to play with it, since it´s so darn expensive:)

Hi all, i got a little experience changing DVD region settings on some drives.... The problem with this radio MOST likely is only the DRIVE used in it... Some CD and DVD drives will accept a "flash" by just inserting the flash in to the drive and rebooting it... ( I am NOT TALKING ABOUT FLASHING THE RADIO!!) just the CD/DVD drive.. that i know no one has taking the unit apart and see if they could use another drive instead of the original (ONE THAT IS UNLOCK) or a drive with your REGION CODE... but if someone gets the spec’s of the drive you could ask at the web….CDFREAKS they been modding drives for a while

It can be changed in the testmode screen outlined in the service manual that is available on this forum.

have anyone tried changing it in testmode yet?

No. See your duplicate post in the other thread

Can u give it and try and let us know about it?

Posted Jan 14, 2010 · 01:26 UTC#20

No, I have no use for this.

Posted Jan 31, 2010 · 05:37 UTC#21

does anyone know if I could make it "all region"? or it will be fixed to one region until I change it again.

If so, do I have a limit like most PC drives?

THANKS!

Why don't you just follow the service manual posted on this site and test it yourself?

The easiest way to watch DVDs with othere regions might be to make a back-up with i.e DVD shrink. I guess there are also other SW availible to remove the region code.

I know this thread is old .But i think i found some thing. I know that Pioneer use to have region selection in DVD players by hardware mods. Maybe that also apply to our players.take look at the picture. if some body from other regions than 1 can confirm the diferences also resistor values used.

I maybe wrong but i will try with 120ohm and some pot in series to get the right voltage.Se what happens.

I just tried changing the resistors inside the unit, and it still didn't change the region code for the DVD player.
