Hey I was just curious if its possible or been done already. I want to be able to listen to 87.7 but like we all know our radios stop at 87.9 is there a way to hack our radios so I can tune down a bit more?

Bump, is this possible?
i would have to say no as this probably has something to do with the actual tuner (hardware) in the avics.. id be really surprised if it is something that can be modified in a file..
This has come up before, but I can't find the old thread doing a search.
Short version was: Nope, can't do it.
The answer is there's no reason for them to do this, 87.7 is below the FCC allotted range for the US, and the station broadcasting on it knows it's skirting around the official standards.
You may want to explore this kind of device, not ideal but you may be able to get one to give you the coverage you want.
