I have done the reading on the boards in regards to the 80MT update disks and I had a question.

 

Are the issues limited to disks that are downloaded and burned or have the issues been present in the new disks from Pioneer? I just purchased a "new never opened" East coast 80MT upgrade disk off ebay for my D3 and I must say that I am now a bit touchy about sticking the disk in.....

 

any thoughts would be appreciated, great site!

well.....hung my hat and bought the Pioneer disks off Crutchfield for the standard $120....wasn't worth the risk in my opinion...

 

stuck the east coast disk in and every thing worked like a charm...but, don't know why these disks are $120..Not much difference at all.
