Hi, 1st of all i'm a newbie here so i'd like to say hello, my name is Paul, i'm from Bristol, UK.

I've just bought an F910.

Ok, my problem, when i'm listening to the radio or dvd the voice guidance from the satnav comes form the front speakers at the comfortable volume which i set it at, however when i listen to music from the sd card or the usb the voice guidance comes from the rear speakers, and it's real loud, mad me jump outta my skin the first time.

Is this a known bug ? I'm fairly sure that i haven't overlooked a setting for this.

I downloaded the latest firmware from the pioneer site and installed it, the unit is now on 3.010100 .

Also, slightly off topic, i also tried to install the free speed camera update (free for 1st year), again according to the instructions on the pioneer site, but when i drove today, 1st time since the upgrade there's no speed camera warnings, or icons, nothing.

Can anyone help.

Thanks, Paul.

Ah, i've found the answer, according to page 113 of the manual,

Important Notice regarding Volume of

Navigation Voice Guidance when Playing

Audio Files from USB or SD

If music files stored on an external storage device

(USB, SD) are played when the system guides the

route (i.e., a destination has been selected and

the system is routing you to a destination), the volume

of the navigation guidance voice will be the

same as the volume of the music files being

played, even if a different volume level has been

selected on “Master” or “Voice” or “Dynamic Volume”

in the “Sound settings” menu.

What's that all about then ? Why can't the setting be the same as for the radio or dvd player ? Oh well.

Paul.
