I remember people were able to get a VM of their unit so they could test out modifications their instead of having to do so out in their car every time.
Does anyone know where I can get current instructions/tips for doing so using 3.02?
I have Windows Embedded CE 6.0, will that work? Or what do I need?
The main thing I would like to do is modify the map screen and make changes there builidng off of "Diaftia's Keeper" mods.

All you really need is the Microsoft Device Emulator, running it at 800x480 video and attach a copy of APL2 folder as its flash disk. Make sure that you leave one card only in content\map folder. You should be able to start the EZRider.

I've been using Device Emulator 1.0 and that worked. I think 3.0 should work just as well.

2. No, EZRider is the navigation executable. Main menu is MainMenu.exe

In the 3.0 and emulation thread there's a correct ROM image (3.0 is WInCE 5 as well, AFAIK).
I would suggest keeping the map for your location...
