Hello everyone,

Did a custom install for my BMW 850, love the AVIC-F700BT, I did follow the hardware bypass, but now when I start to drive my car more than 10 mph I get this warning and my video screen is shut off.

I have map version 1.000800 and 2.000000 I just ordered the SD cards from pioneer for 2.06

Can someone please help me step by step on this software by pass. I have been looking for this testmode file and reading up on what it does, I went to this site http://igo8.gpssoftware.us/pioneer.htm, I hope this is the testmode file people are talking about, then I also have looked at this following info from a website

"No it is not grounding.

It's all software now. get a memkry card and you have to go to avic411 and get the stuff needed to boot into testmode (windows) while on that site get the data.zip file and open it up DO NOT UNZIP just use winzip and open the file through there. Scroll dlwn and look for parking_break_speed=16 . Change the 16 to 256 . That will make it so you ca go up to 160 befor it locks out. save it and take it to the card. Go to the headunit and put the card in before starting up. Get a like toothpick something with a small tip cause pushing the buttons you need is a biiiitttttcccchhh.

Once in windows find your card on it I think its under My Storage or something along those linea. get the zipped data file highlighted and then go to edit and copy the file. next go to the My Device and look for APL2 folder then click iGo folder and open it. Now the file is either right there or in tbe pioneer_ui. Once you find the file simply go to the edit tab up top and paste. overwrite and then shut the unit down. take the card out and start the unit up. It should now work."

Please help, this is a video of my install

Somewhere along the line you messed up the wiring. If the hardware bypassis done properly, you wont get the warning or the screen shutting off. did you move the mute wire from the top left spot to the second row 4th spot? thats probably where your issue is.

I did that, but I will check again, you never know....

did you ground the mute wire AND the parking brake wire? if its done right you will not get that message!

also make sure that the mute wire pin is in all the way and didn't get bent.
