i have a f700bt and im using the apple ipod cable. i have always wondered if this is the way its suppose to work because it has always bugged me. anyways my ipod stays on when i turn off the car. i have to reach into the glovebox and select sleep on the ipod so it goes to sleep, otherwise it just stays on.

 

the ipod does pause the music when i turn off the car but, it just stays on. anyone have any input or have the same problem? my ipod is a 30gb video 5th gen

if the Ipod pauses when the car is turned off, the Ipod will shut itself off after a couple of mins, unless you have that turned off in the Ipod settings.

 

my Ipod always shuts off (even when your just using the Ipod alone w/ headphones) when its paused and left for a couple of mins
