I have an US F900 unit and I've been able to use European maps with hacked ezrider for fw 2.0 (iGo 8.0).

I updated the fw to 3.0101 with no problem, but in order to use European maps, I replaced ezrider with the old one -> same iGo 8.0 (and maps for 8.0, of course).

Now I see there is a hacked ezrider for 3.x as well (iGo 8.3), but after putting it on the unit (and the corresponding 8.3 maps), the unit keeps rebooting itself. I tried to put some data.zip files from this forum that are supposed to work with 3.x, but still the same issue.

I'm not a newbie, but still I'm unable to figure out what am I doing wrong.

Any help on this?

OK guys, here is what i did to make this work.

1. Updated my unit to 3.1 firmware and deleted the whole apl2 directory.

2. Copied in original apl2 directory from european 3.1 update (Uploading zip files to megaupload)

3. Copy hacked 3.0 ezrider and your favourite 3.1 datazip (I am using IDT datazip at the moment)

I can't extract those files with winzip. Actually, they don't look like .zip files.

They look like 7zip files. There shouldn't be a problem unpacking them.

I'm still downloading all files, one at a time. I haven't tried them yet

I only have one question: on an US unit we just have to replace de iGo folder to have access to all languages and voices?

Its a known issue which is solved by having the pioneer license file of the 3.x update AND the world-wide license - both.

They look like 7zip files. There shouldn't be a problem unpacking them.

Can you point me to those license files? So the only additional thing I need to do is to add those files? I believe I have already the ww license.

And to all of you worried about the license files they are in the apl2 already so all you have to do is download the files and unzip with 7.zip and copy to your unit, then copy the ezrider provided here.
