iGo's Current Speed / What other variables available?

I have been enjoying the trip computer, speed limit, current speed, and other mods that people have been kindly submitting to the forum.

The question I have is in terms of variables available for the screen/trip computer/etc. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to display the acceleration/braking speed somehow, and how difficult it would be. W/out knowing if there was a variable already, I was thinking if you could use a timer and take the difference between those two speeds ( of course this would give you the average accel between that time interval. Are there any other ways people know of, to display this sort of information.

Of course it's only as accurate as your GPS signal and that you have to have a signal for it to work, yadda, yadda...

(Yes I know they make special devices to measure this as well...)

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

When I started with the trip stuff there was a user here named emulamer that posted a list of things he found in EZrider. They're listed in this link: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 78&start=0

One of the items listed is max_acceleration. You could play around and see if you can get anything out of it. I propose maybe trying this as a textmodel: textmodel_wstr="other.tripcomputer.max_acceleration.full_text"

AFAIK, nobody has tried it. I'm sort of out of trying to do it with the Pioneer data.zip since I'm using gurjon's skin right now.

As always - thanks for the help.

I'll play around w/ some of those values and post what I find out.

Thanks,

Ben
