Does pioneer release firmware updates often to fix/update how things function?

Noob Question. How often does pioneer release SW Updates?

I have the same question. Anyone have experience with the Z1/Z2/Z3 that could answer this question?

We have been lucky to get updates about every 12-15 months.

Does pioneer charge for the updates or are they free?

They charge for the annual map updates, but they have released minor firmware "fixes" for free
