Is it possible to navigate to a contact? My phonebook on my phone contains addresses, and they are included in the vcards it transfers. Does the Z110BT use these for the "Navigate to..." function?

Yes you can, if you sync your iphone with the headunit.
The new iphone app video shows that all contacts with adresses in them will be imported to the headunit. The contact with a address will have a differnt icon.

No, that is incorrect. You can only plot a route from a contact if the contact was created with the AVIC FEEDS app. The unit will not read address info from a contact created on your phone.
