Anyone know why my unit sometimes powers off and powers back on randomly? It's annoying when I'm on the BT phone because then it drops my call! It appears to be very random. It's not a hard reset either, I don't lose any of my settings.

Can you tell if anything else is powering up at the same time? Such as other aftermarket electronics, HID headlights, defroster, etc? Others have had issues with the unit doing this because something totally unrelated is drawing a lot of power, leaving too little for the HU to stay on.

 

A small capacitor wired into the wiring harness would fix that, and by small, I mean the size of a resistor. I don't know the details on which cap size they've used (i.e. 1uf (micro-farad), 1mf (milli-farad)), but it would likely fix the problem if the above applies to you.
