I have been on the forum for about a month. I have the AVIC 700BT. Does anyone know how to make the red triangle, when in 3d mode,smaller, ( or can't it be done).

there is no way to make this change in the settings. the only way to change this is to upgrade your unit to 3.0 software available from pioneer's website or from crutchfield. pioneer made this change for the new software so that the red triagle is significantly smaller.

The car arrow? For either 2.x or 3.x firmware, edit SYS.TXT file (in APL2\iGO folder).

In the [map] section adjust these values:

3d_scale_carmodel=1

3dcarsizemin=2000; min size

3dcarsizemax=2400; max size

3dcarsizemul=2400; also affects size

Funny. I think the one in 3.x is kinda small, and preferred the larger on in 2.x.

At first, I thought it was my imagination that it got smaller. I'm glad to know I'm not crazy.
