Hey there guys,

I've been a long time lurker of this forum while making my decision of what HU to buy. Recently I bought a refurbished F90BT. I haven't installed it yet but I have a question about the 3.0 update as I plan to do that right away.

I searched around the forum and I found a thread about the 3.0 from the x910bt. I downloaded all those files and I understand the directions as far as updating to that first and then using the Pioneer update to 3.02. My question, however, is that I also downloaded a torrent from ISOhunt which appears to be a rip of the genuine installation SD cards from Pioneer.

SD1 Folder includes:

-Australian_model

-European_model

-LPUE080

-North_American_model

-Russian_model

SD2 Folder includes:

-CONF

-DISCINFO.TXT

-DISKID.DAT

-FLASH

-LPUE080

-msnd.firmware.z

-RENEWAL

I'm pretty sure this is the release version because inside the filetree you get to a file called release.txt that has this in the first line.

"---- integrate version: 3.020100 ---- "

Anyways, my question is if I just copy those 2 folders onto 2 SD cards will I get asked to go to the pioneer website to get an auth code? If it makes any difference, inside the RENEWAL folder there are two files:

-AUTHINFO.DAT

-VERINFO.DAT

Any help would be appreciated at all. Once again, I did search but I couldn't find any thread where someone had downloaded this specific torrent.

Thank you all!

Don't know about the specific torrent, but a copy of the Pioneer SD cards is the same as the original. When you buy them you can make a backup and use it as the install. It will follow the same process and require submitting a device id & media number which is supplied with the package. The media number is not hardcoded into the SD cards but rather registered with the person who purchased it. When logging on to the Pioneer website to obtain the install password, you close the loop of registering with Pioneer the specific media number (you have printed on the package you bought) to your device.

Thanks for the reply!

Here's the link to the torrent I downloaded:

http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/1282 ... ab=summary

It's just simply called Pioneer Update 3.0.zip. The instructions don't really make it clear what to do and I'd rather be absolutely positive. I'm currently the only one seeding this thing but there are two people downloading it from me so if anyone wants it feel free to hop on. I'm gonna keep it open for a while.
