AVIC-D1 Entering Address Keyboard Screen Not Aligned???

WOW... check out this site!!! I've had an AVIC-D1 since it was the current model. I've upgraded the maps each time and I'm running the latest version. Not the CNDV-90MT that was just released but the previous... 70MT I think.

Anyway, I can no longer use my unit and haven't been able to for many months because the keyboard is not aligned right to enter addresses. I have to hit the letter that's next to the one I intend to key. For example I need to press the G button to get it to enter F. I can't press the letter keys to the side because they're off the screen. Sometimes I can get it to type the key if I take a Bic pen and press the extreme corner of the unit's LCD by the letter. It's basically useless and I've been using my iPhone. HOWEVER, I'd LOVE to figure out how to fix this issue. AM I OUT OF GAS?

I SURE hope this problem has been experience before and someone knows how to fix it. Perhaps a full system reset or something... I'm not sure how to do that so instructions would be great. Anything.

Very glad this site exists... the Internet rocks...

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!!!

The left and right sides of the screen doesn't work! I can not type in addresses, or cancel routes because the onscreen buttons closest to the left and right edges are "dead".

For example- when I want to enter an address, and want to click A (on the far left side), it chooses B or C instead-- MY CURRENT DILEMMA--- I accidentally choose some random location while fiddling with the dead screen, and now the Nav will not shut up and it thinks that I want to drive to Pasadena!!!! I cant 'Cancel Route' because the AVIC asks "Cancel Route- OK?" on the top left corner of the screen, which I can not press!

Now the screen does a new thing too- as I am driving, the cursor starts moving on its own (the screen thinks its being touched)- or when its on A/V, the preset buttons change, because the screen is thinking its being pushed.

I called Pioneer, and they want something like $250 just to have it sent in to be inspected (not to mention shipping and having the unit removed and re-installed).

I dont know what to do- I really like the AVIC models, but Im debating weather to ever get a Pioneer in dash Navi ever again!
