These are 8.3 maps, do you think that this means 8.0 maps will not be updated through 2009?

Latest 8.0 maps are also on Volnys' site. Currently only the 02.2009 are available

and if they are, do I just put them on a SD card and load them into the unit?

OK, just checked out the files and immediately wondered which ones to download...

Example:

CzechRep_NAVTEQ_2008_Q4_090310.fbl

CzechRep8.3Ceda_2009.06_090730.fbl

CzechRep8.3TA_2009.02_090602.fbl

CzechRep8.3TA_2009.06_090722.fbl

So which one should I get? I assume the *NAVTEQ_ one? But then, the version number is 2008.Q4 and not 06.2009 as this original post mentioned...

Anyone care to shed some light on this?

NAVTEQ maps are generally prefered in the US , Teleatlas in the EU.

I would suggest you want the CzechRep8.3TA_2009.06_090722.fbl

You need to replace the maps in the apl2/igo/contents/maps folder with the new ones.You will also need to DL and install the updated ezrider file and install the generic license folder.There is a brilliant "How To" in an earlier thread.

I am having problems getting into testmode...I think it might be because I updated to the latest firmware yesterday

Probably a silly question but here goes.Updated all the maps I needed,UK,France etc. and all are working fine.Should I update the base map and if so,why?What exactly does the base map do?

how to install these maps in my pioneer f900bt?if i install these maps,clean the other maps or actualize it?

Installed 8.0 Tele atlas maps, along with world atlas and ezrider 3.0. Put ezrider in apl2 folder,map in maps folder and lisence in lisence folder. When i rebooted unit, it would load but i could not access navigation,but could my av. Then after 1 minute it reboot, again keep doing this. Does anyone know where i am going wrong. Oh i am on latest official uk firmware.

use 8.3 maps.

just to add when i put my old files back on, the unit now works again, but uk maps show as uk mre on list of maps. And when i try to navigate anywhere parts of the country dont exist.
