I'd be interested to know if you can tell if any of the newer roads in our area were updated Garret.

...and if it works ok on that Z2 with your Z3 image. If it's worth it for our area, I'll be dropping back by your house again. lol

Looks like its just a map update.

I was hoping for some interface updates but by the looks of it, Pioneer gave up on it which business wise it makes sense but still, there are so many bugs that still needs to be fixed......

I'm probably going to opt out and not getting this update. Maybe wait another year.

I personally think this upgrade is a piece of shit. Pioneer should be ashamed of themselves.

Unless the upgrade consists of new graphics and totally get rid of the double screen, the upgrade is worthless and not worth $120.

The Z1-Z3 system was the worst thing I ever bought and I truly regret it. I remember when I called pioneer to complain about the memory feature and the graphics they gave me a song and a dance about how the system was great in other ways.

I think pioneer should create new upgrades to fix the hedious graphics.

^^ I agree. But is that possible from a simple DVD update? How much can be changed besides color of the menu icons etc?

Might be a good hack project to change the menu style/colors :)

Be happy you didn't buy Alpine like I did. Twice!

Had the IVA-W203 and the IVA-W505 talk about bad graphics it was like using an old computer running DOS!

GPS was probably the worst I have ever used - to the point that I would use google maps on my blackberry over the Alpine unit. Terrible.
