Stuck in "System Startup" after 3.0 Install - Help!

What am I doing wrong? Everything seemed to work fine but... My splashscreen loads and my music plays but my actual nav just gets stuck in the "system startup" and resets itself every 3 minutes. So frustrating! I don't know if it makes a difference but all of the files were downloaded to a mac then transferred to my SD card. Don't know if there is any mac conflicts with these files. Any help would be greatly appreciated. How do I get this thing to work without removing it and sending the unit to pioneer? I am going to have to start from scratch?

Thanks in advance,

JD

I tried a few an ultimately just ended up running XP in Fusion and using winrar. I just do all my avic work in my XP VM.

Also, to the OP, if all else fails just find a backup that is out on the web. Restore it back to 2.0 and do the 3.0 update again. Copying files from a Mac *should* be fine as long as you do not uncompress them. There are threads in the General section on doing this.

I have seen exactly that behavior happen when a very large speedcam.txt was installed. Several ones I found on the net would cause it to be stuck forever, then reboot after 5 minutes, and repeat...

If you copied a speedcam.txt or SpeedCamUpdates.spud into CONTENT/SPEEDCAM/... before re-installing 2.0 or whatnot, try deleting the files in there.. see if that helps..

In general, I recommend making 'one change at a time' so that you know what change you made that led to your problems...

I got it to work. Thanks for everyones help and replies. The Mac seems to be the issue in the way it decompresses files upon download. I used WM Ware Fusion and XP and transferred all files there before unzipping and moving to the SD card. Very happy with 3.0!

How did you get it to work? I have the exact same problem with legit pioneer 3.0 update
