I am sure this has been brought up a 100 or more times, but I am new to the forum. I have an avic Z1 and have done all the mods to it. But can someone tell me why I can't play data cds or video cds that I burn. I can play dvds just fine, but I need to know how to be able to burn music videos and be able to play them. Thanks!!

P.S. I don't have a dvd burner just a standard cd burner. I was able to burn video to a data cd with a regular pioneer flip out just fine!!

VCD's cannot be played, but I believe SVCD's might be able to. Why not just convert and burn to DVD-R?

thanks for the reply guys. My friend has a external dvd burner, but that will not help me will it? Unless I can connect it to my computer?????

Hey Drew,

An external DVD burner should plug in through a USB port. Now if you tell me your computer doesnt have a USB port, then it has to be a Commodore C64! LOL! :)
