Disabled System Settings with Bypass

So I picked up and installed a F700BT last night and ended up with the e-brake wire grounded, the mute wire moved and grounded, and I also did the software hack, but for some reason I still cannot access my system settings, or nav settings. Anyone have any ideas?

Go back and check your work, particularly around the grounding.

Even the software hack fails without the e-brake wire properly grounded.

if the wires are grounded good, check and make sure that the pins in the harness are not bent and every thing is lining up right

Thanks for the tips guys. I just checked my wiring, and the ground 'seems' fine. I have both the rewired mute wire, the brake sensor and my receiver's ground wired to the same place. I also checked my pins and they are all straight and making contact with the harness.

I'm not sure what else could be wrong with this. I'm thinking maybe I need to actually wire it up to my brake.

*EDIT* I have a very good feeling that the wire harness maybe wrong. I'm looking at the service manual, and my green wire is connected to PULSE and not PKB.

That's not grounding it to do the bypass, you need the parking brake line from the AVIC, and the relocated mute wire, both connected to chassis ground, that's the hardware bypass.

*SOLVED* Yeah I know I needed to ground the wires but I was just frustrated that I figured I might as well install it properly. Haha. Fortunately, I figured out that green wire was actually in the wrong position on the receiver's harness, so I had to reposition the wire to the correct PKB position on the receiver.

Thanks for the help guys.
