I'm considering buying a used F700BT to put in my Saab. The seller is

saying that the port that hold in the main power harness is loose,

causing the speakers to cut out when the harness is moved. I'm wondering

how many of you have run into this issue? Is it something that I will need

to send the unit in to Pioneer for repair, or is it something I'll be able to

repair myself? Is this even a real problem? Thanks

sounds like the connector is either dammaged or the solder points are loose on the board, so the part will probably either need to be resoldered or replaced, if thats somthing your up to then you could save a trip to the service center

Thank you, I don't think I feel too good about soldering tiny connections, so I'd probably send it in for service. I'm been looking through this forum and it looks like basic Pioneer service is in the $60 to $80 range for basic stuff, does this sound reasonable for a Pioneer service visit of this nature? Thanks

im really not sure about repair cost, since i'm a pioneer dealer, anything i send in to get repaired is always covered under warranty
