I recently updated the firmware to 2.06. I cannot complete the TTS portion of the update - when i select the 'Jason' button (the one already highlighted) the unit stalls. I can use the rest of the unit fine, but I cannot browse through the system settings until i turn the unit (car) off or reset it.

 

I would love to put some 'new' firmware (as i have seen some pretty slick stuff on this site) on there (2.0 era if possible) as i have heard nothing but horrible things about the 3.0 software updates. However, I'm a very busy guy, and i don't have time to be screwing around with software hacks anymore. Sorry, but my time is precious and lately there is little of it.

 

If anyone has any ideas on how to work around this, or even a nice easy software flash without busting my balls I would really appreciate it. I'll do the work, but at this time I need something fairly straight forward.

 

I'm open to suggestions.
