So I have been all over this site trying to find my answer. I recently did the parking brake bypass (by grounding it) and also changed my software setting from 16 to 128. Problem is any time i hit the map button i get the warning stating i improperly attached my parking brake lead and to check it.

once this message appears i cannot access my phone or system settings or nav address while driving. Any idea what went wrong? To recap, it works as advertised until i hit the map button.

double check your grounding, you could try using a modded data.zip and check if the it still acts the same way, if it does then that means there's something wrong with your grounding, if not then it means there's something wrong with you modified zip

Ya i suspected the grounding. I did other mods and they all work so i will check the wire tomorrow. Thanks

I don't mean to insult you, but did you just ground the brake wire or do it like this?
