I've already got this file, and it's requires ActiveSync which is not working without wince installed!

I need a winceimg.bin to flash the machine!

Checked out the service menu structurture too:

There is a command "Dump CEIMG" and "Dump MBR" under the "BT Test" menu...

I don't know if it creates a .bin file on SD-card, but there must be a possibility to make backup of system somehow!

However...if You unshore, DONT experiment with this before You are absolutly sure not to damege the software!!!

Hi! Somebody replys thanx! Is it the original cd which is coming in the box or some other? Because I got the original and it's useless for rebuild the os!

I tried to check the website for oringinal CD at badlight.is-a-geek.net but it seems to be down. Is there another website I can download to update the flash for AVIC-S1?

I mess up with it by errasing flash and now I can't get it back to work even I tried with ActiveSync, SD card from CD I have from Pioneers (softwares without o/s I beleive)... I don't understand why company won't include o/s unlike computer/laptop that comes with o/s.

Be patient...I´m working on to recreate an os-image to Avic S1 so You can flash back the operating system to PNA from an sd-card!

(My pna was reflashed by Pioneer here in Sweden, but now I'm on a good track to make it self too...My goal is to have another program in it, because I'm NOT satisfied with the original. Want load it with MioMap v3 istead!)

Hey sanco... let us know when you got it working... I'm trying to install the navigon 6 on it... I got the splashscreen working but that's it.

A pna6000 has a different hardware (experienced it myself) that's why it isn't work with Navigon 6 image exept the splashscreen...

reset the machine and install original files from the original cd.

The correct image probably is 32mb

Are there compatibility issues between Sprint Sanyo Katana bluetooth and the AVIC-S1? When I send contacts from the Katana the Avic-s1 shows only the contact names, and not the numbers.

If you still need the image file, cmonex made one. http://hpcmonex.net/roms/avics1img.zip brought my AVIC-S1 to life.

Download the file, and follow the instructions above.

Thanks for that image. It brought my AVIC-S1 back to life after I erased the flash. This image does not have the GPS or BT apps. Do I need to find an original CD/DVD to restore these apps?

Any help is appreciated. I was able to get Mio working but it's quirky. So, I would like to get the original apps working again while I experiment with others.

Any reason that the Magellan 300 GPS app won't work? It's clearly the best one out there for this hardware. I will try it tonight.

hello to everybody. i'm new around, and i'm starting with a request.

one of my friends ruined his avic s2 from the service menu (he wanted to unlock the win ce, read something on some forum, and did it wrong). he asked me to help him and i only managed to find the avic s1 rom. i've wrote it to device, but, as expected, it doesn't functions well. it starts, but the screen is totaly decalibrated and i cannot use it. can someone of you (maybe cmonex) help me with a avic s2 rom (winceimg.bin)? i have the original dvd to restore apps, i only need the firmware.
