hey guys, I have done many mods to my F500Bt including IDT's 4.9 mod. I love it. Is there a program that will convert this .csv file to a .poi file? So then I can just drop it in \My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\content\poi

I have AVI feeds but it always says the file is too large ect..

The problem is that the file has too many locations for avic feeds to process the file. If you are using avic feeds 1.0 you can process a file with a max of 300 locations. If you are using 2.0 you can process only 100 locations. The workaround for this is to edit the csv file with a file editor like MS excel to edit the file to the allowable amount of locations. It sucks but that is the piss poor limitations of avic feeds.

Also, there's nothing that will convert to .POI (or do anything else with them). You can however convert many file types (CSV included) to .UPOI that lives in userdata\save\iGO.

I can tell you that there does seem to be a max .UPOI or igo .TXT file size that the F/X series can handle before it crashes the unit. When I had the F series, I used the a converted .CSV file of the safety cam POI that I converted to igo .TXT and .UPOI to add to the onboard POI data base. The POI file contained about 4000 cam locations for the US. I could not select more then about two or three of the locations as a search in the POI section of the unit without it crashing the unit. I was never able to determine the problem or the max file size that would crash the unit. I would say just use trial and error to determine what is possible.

userdata\save\iGO\save folder. There may be a user.opio in there allready. My problem is that when looking in my poi section while the igo software is running I can see all 800-900 walmart poi's in the user.upio that I made. But then a few minutes later they dissapear... this unit sucks in that aspect. I suspect that there are too many pois in the upio file that I made.
