Ok so my F700 starting doing the splash screen reboot thing tuesday, i went to pioneer site downloaded the new update, followed the directions, inserted the SD card it started downloading the at 44% it stopped. I retried sveral times and it always stops at 44% while copying (vf_steffi_r40_83swf11_165_04) file. I tried playing with the file deleting it but then the firmware wouldnt even start. has anyone else had this problem cause it's driving me crazy cause ive done everything i could

Another thing is i tried to revert back to the 2.0 and it also stops at about 79% and has a message saying

(memory is full) those arent the exact words but thats whats its saying. i dont know if its refering to the SD which makes no sense cause its a 2GB or the Deck itself which would def make no sense!

i know there are millions of threads but i havent came across non with this situation, can someone please help me, im dying with no tunes!!!!

You are not alone with this issue. I am experiencing the exact same thing and have endlessly for three days tried to find a solution to this problem. I started the update Disk 1(CNSD100FM) and completed only 78% on file G2p_Non.dll provided by Pioneer, The Free Firmawate Update downloaded from the Pioneer Site only was successful to 61% stopping on file Audioin.dll with a message on the bottom stating {"ErrorCode = 18 Message = "maybe disk space is Sizefull"}. I am still looking for a solution. I

I had the same problem, I found out by booting into test mode that for some reason I had a ton of corrupt files and fragment of files filling my entire flash drive on the head Unit. I was able to correct it by booting into service mode and installing a fresh copy of WinCE. I then started the car and ran the older 2.0 update. Once that was completed I booted the head unit into test mode again and copied a backup of someone’s flash drive onto the stereo. I ran the newer update again and it worked perfectly fine. If you’re unsure about following these steps just search the forums.

look around on the site for wince files. You need to put the 2 files on the root of your sd card and go into service mode reset, eject, map, and menu at the same time. insert sd card and go to wince update wait till it downloads then it will say reset or it will reset its self i forget. Put the pioneer sd update in then it will automatically update and should take 100% thats what fixed it for me. god luck
