Just wondering if there's a vss on this unit as well as does it work? Meaning will the vehicle cursor move if the gps antenna is disconnected. My x910 has a vss however I don't think the avic software supports it. It doesn't work.

Thinking of upgrading to the Z series. I also like the feature of syncing your iphone gps destination to the z series.

Yes it has VSS. All navigation systems still need the GPS antenna connected. After it goes through a learning period, the VSS will make it more accurate if you momentarily lose GPS reception (bridge, tunnel, tall buildings, etc.) You still need the GPS antenna connected though
