The reason I ask is I tried it at future shop here and its way more responsive then my 900. So I was maybe thinking it came with 3.0 or maybe even a faster processor.

More likely the wince/software version but not sure. The consensus was that the X series was just this year's model - same hardware like last year with the bundled version 3.0.

Everything you need to know:
Besides the new apple authentication chip and dvd mechanism and the different eject button, it's the same as 900BT with 3.0 firmware.
