Good Day All,

 

Had a weird thing going on with my F90BT. Went from Dallas to the Hill Country in San Antonio this weekend. I did not use the GPS until we got off the desired exit of the interstate and unit worked fine on the backroads except that it overshot our destination by 200 yards. Sorta a weird area and figured that the map data was not correct. On the return trip I programed it to bring me home. On the route to the interstate it worked fine, but when I got on I35 to go North and got near Austin the GPS wanted me off the interstate at every intersection!. At times it did not show me on the interstate but the access highway. Mileage and relative position was good. Once past the Austin area the unit finally recalculated my trip and worked fine for the rest of the trip.

 

Not sure what is going on. Could this be the result of bad map data?? There has been construction over the years in the Austin to San Antonio area but most of that is complete now. I realize that the map data from the latest upgrade is not necessarily current with the calendar map. Also, I might mention that it was pouring rain on a good part of the journey but I did not lose reception from the Sats, but could the weather cause some inaccuracies to the GPS knowing where I really am?
