F900 Boot Problem

So after about a month of having my F900 with the harness mute wire hack working perfectly one day it just decides to keep rebooting itself. However after multiple pushes of the reset button it will load in to the main menu and be fully functional but it won't load the main menu icon button, or the av icons, however when you push where the buttons are supposed to be, the unit responds normally. The first thing I did was turn to this forum and follow the directions on this thread, viewtopic.php?f=33&t=27155&p=191179&hilit=blank+screen+fix#p189369. After completing this the unit is still only booting sometimes, and when it does, the same symptoms occur. By now I am pretty comfortable with test mode so any idea would be appreciated. Thanks

Constant reboots can be either software related or hardware related. If it is software related, all you have to do is reinstall your backup, or install the 3.0 update which will erase your entire drive and install a fresh copy of the 3.0 firmware. You can get it here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25751 This should fix it.

If that does not work, then it is hardware related (probably defective memory) and it will have to go back to pioneer
